SCT COVID Safety & Preparedness Plan

Springfield Contemporary Theatre is committed to reopening in an effort to return to normal operations while refusing to jeopardize the safety of its staff, artists, and patrons. As states, provinces and communities move individually to reopening and returning to work, Springfield Contemporary Theatre is holding itself and its community accountable by enacting these guidelines for the organization:

All individuals working, rehearsing, or attending a Springfield Contemporary Theatre event are required to wear masks indoors. Masks may be removed when social distancing is possible outdoors.

All volunteers and staff will have their temperature checked every time they enter the building. Patrons will be asked not to attend events if they show any symptoms related to COVID.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available at all Springfield Contemporary Theatre events.

In order to provide contract tracing for all parties, volunteers and staff will sign into a logbook upon entering the facility. Patrons will be asked to provide the names and e-mail addresses of all members of their party as a part of placing their ticket order.

All performances will feature socially distant seating in relation to fellow patrons and performers.

All staff and individuals in artistic leadership positions will be trained and prepared according to Missouri Art Safe Certification standards.

In the immediate future, Springfield Contemporary Theatre is committed to producing socially distant and safe outdoor and virtual productions. Should public safety allow, Springfield Contemporary Theatre will pursue productions and production venues that permit socially distanced seating at reduced seating capacities where all involved feel safe.

Springfield Contemporary Theatre will maintain reduced seating capacity limits at any venue as directed by the Greene County Health Department.
