Indoor Performance Safety Measures
Springfield Contemporary Theatre is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of our patrons, artists and staff. We have looked to the guidance of the CDC and healthcare professionals as well as best practices throughout our industry to ensure safety throughout the pandemic. Virtual and outdoor performances have finally given way to a return of indoor events. All activity at SCT is moving forward in accordance with local, state and federal guidance and regulations. Our health and safety plan has been developed with what have become standard in our industry around the country. The success of these efforts depends on every participant acting thoughtfully to value the health and safety of the people around them. These safety measures will be implemented on scheduled events through January 2022 at which time they will be reevaluated pending available public health information and guidance. |
What we ask of our patrons:
What we’re doing:
Note: these safety guidelines only apply to SCT productions presented in the Springfield Art Museum auditorium and not the facility as a whole.
- Proof of full vaccination status or a negative antigen test performed within 72 hours of the performance date is required for attendance. This can be provided by presenting either a physical or digital copy with a photo ID at the venue for entry.
- Masks covering the nose and mouth are required while attending SCT events regardless of vaccination status. Masks will be available for those who forget to bring one.
- Do not attend a performance or come to one of our events if you are experiencing COVID symptoms.
What we’re doing:
- All SCT staff and artists will be fully vaccinated. Masking will be required for SCT staff at all performances.
- SCT will socially distance patrons at the Springfield Art Museum, allowing for at least one empty seat between each household. Your seat may be shifted to accommodate as many people as possible. If parties with separate reservations wish to be seated together, please provide this information when reserving your tickets.
- Performance facilities will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. All patron seating areas receive electrostatic disinfection before each performance and surface cleaning will be done on all patron areas throughout the day.
- Contactless check-in procedures are in place for every live performance.
- While we will have printed programs available for all performances, a virtual contactless option will also be available as well.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the theatre.
Note: these safety guidelines only apply to SCT productions presented in the Springfield Art Museum auditorium and not the facility as a whole.
