Visiting SCT
Where are you located?
Our productions are performed at the Historic Fox Theatre, 157 Park Central Square, in downtown Springfield. On performance days, the Box Office is located in the Historic Fox Theatre lobby and will open 1 hour prior to the performance. Our business office is located at Springfield Contemporary Theatre Operations Center, 2025 E Chestnut Expressway, Suite D. Where can I park? Drop-off for patrons is available in front of the History Museum and Fox Theatre, NE corner of the downtown square. There are street parking spaces located along Olive Street, as well as several free parking lots: 303 E Olive St, Springfield, MO 65806 301-399 W Olive St, Springfield, MO 65806 405 E Olive St, Springfield, MO 65806 How do I pick up my tickets / will my tickets be emailed to me? All tickets will be printed on the night of the performance. Any tickets purchased in advance can be picked up at the Will Call table inside the lobby of the Historic Fox Theatre starting 1 hour before the performance. SCT does not currently offer advance printing or ticket delivery via mail or e-mail. Can we take food and drinks to our seats? Outside food and drink are not allowed in the theatre; however, any items you purchase at our concession counter can be enjoyed at your seat. How are your shows rated? Such as movie ratings? SCT offers a diverse selection of arts entertainment. Not all productions may appeal to or be appropriate for every person or for all ages. Patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the show in order to make informed decisions prior to purchasing tickets. SCT lists a few standard advisories about subject matter, including stage effects such as strobe lights or theatrical fog. If you have any additional questions about content that might have a bearing on patron comfort, please contact the box office at 417-831-8001. Is there available seating for those with special needs? We are able to accommodate most patron needs in regards to seating. We just ask that you let us know what needs you or someone in your party may have when you make your reservation. Certain performances may offer ASL interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing patrons with reserved seating for clear view of the interpreter. To see if there are upcoming interpreted performances, check the webpage for the production you'd like to see or call the box office at 417-831-8001. Is there a cell phone policy? The use of cell phones (including text messaging), cameras or any other recording device is not allowed in the theatre. All cell phones should be completely turned off and put away during the performance. Even cell phones left on “vibrate” give off a glow that can distract actors and audience members. We ask those patrons to use their cell phones in the front lobby area of the theatre only. What should we wear? Many patrons enjoy wearing "dressy casual" attire to our productions. While the theatre is indoors and climate controlled, dress for the weather and for your personal comfort. How can we let the artists know what we thought? We hope after your visit to Springfield Contemporary Theatre you will be encouraged to discuss and reflect on the production, and we would love to hear your feedback and share it with the artists who make these productions possible. Following the production, you will receive an email via the account you used to purchase tickets with a link to a post-show survey. You can also share your feedback by e-mailing our office at [email protected]. |
