Volunteering with SCT

Springfield Contemporary Theatre is almost entirely staffed and run by volunteers. We utilize passionate volunteers as actors, designers, backstage crew, box office staff, ushers, and greeters; as well as volunteers to help build and paint scenery, make alterations on costumes, and distribute posters around town. Volunteers who serve as greeters or work will call or concessions are asked to arrive 75 minutes before the performance. Ushers are asked to arrive 45 minutes before the performance. While there is no specific dress code, all Front of House volunteers are asked to dress nicely, as they are representing SCT. Those working "front of house" are welcome to stay to watch that performance with our compliments.
